Titanium and Titanium Alloys
|
Delahaye International Trading currently source and supply titanium (Ti) and titanium alloys to the South African and African markets.
Titanium can be alloyed with Iron, Aluminium, Vanadium, Molybdenum, amongst other elements, to produce strong lightweight alloys for aerospace (jet engines, missiles, and spacecraft), military, industrial process (chemicals and petro-chemicals, desalination plants, pulp, and paper), automotive, agri-food, medical prostheses, orthopaedic implants, dental and endodontic instruments and files, dental implants, sporting goods, jewellery, mobile phones, and other applications.
The two most useful properties of the metal is corrosion resistance and the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal. In its unalloyed condition, Titanium is as strong as some steels, but 45% lighter.
Should you require additional information about any of our Titanium products or technical assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.
